DFIR & Cybersecurity Events are Back!

Hello everyone! The new DFIR & Cybersecurity Community Events site is now live! The main goal of this is to help beginners to Digital Forensics & Incident Response find free and affordable events to attend, but events related to other areas of Cybersecurity, OSINT and IT are also welcome.

This will replace the monthly DFIR Related Events for Beginners blog posts as well as the DFIR, Cybersecurity and IT calendar I had on the Free and Affordable training site.

The home page of the site is similar to the calendar I had on the training site. It has events from all different categories. You can search events by keyword and filter by category, price, location, organizer, tags, and date. Unlike the previous calendars I was using, this site includes both in-person and virtual events.

I also created a separate page for DFIR Related Events similar to my previous blog posts. This page only includes events related to Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, and OSINT. There is both a list view and a monthly calendar view. If a conference has talks related to DFIR, it’s added to this section.

Event Submission

Whether the event is a large conference or someone doing a livestream on YouTube to teach others malware analysis, event submission is free! No registration is required. Just enter the event information, and an event image and it will be reviewed and published (if approved).

If you have an event that would be a good fit for this site, please (pretty please?) fill out the Submit an Event form.

Types of events that can be submitted:

  • Conferences
  • Meetups
  • Livestreams
  • Live Group Training
  • CTFs
  • Upcoming Podcast Episodes
  • Job Fairs
  • Scholarships & Fellowships
  • Upcoming Webinars
  • Upcoming On-Demand Training Course Release Dates
  • Live Interviews with Industry Professionals
  • Job Interview/Resume Workshops
  • Study Groups

I hope this helps someone!

Now I need to start studying for the eCMAP certification before my second voucher from last years Black Friday BOGO sale expires like the first one did 😳
